If you worked with me, and you came and told me this, and told me you aren't going to be in this career much longer but were willing to make it through busy season, I would help you find a position. One that is much better than any recruiter would find; one that would show respect and appreciation for your loyalty and honesty.
I can't promise you that your partners would work with you like this, but I've done this a long time and this is how we treat people that treat their teams, clients, and the firm fairly.
If you had to let them go for non performance reasons, would you allow the same grace period with pay until they settled elsewhere?

The accounting world is small my friend. No time is really wasted in you becoming a strong, well balanced accounting professional. Stick through it and leave on good terms after busy season. You will be stronger because of it

Just rip off the bandaid and leave now. Better to leave during busy season with grace than after in disgrace
