Oh God! This is somewhat similar to the situation I am in, the only difference is I am looking at different roles.
I think you're playing with fire but it's a job seeker's world and not an employers. Leverage your offers and be transparent if you're ultimately presented with two amazing opportunities, you have all the cards in your hands.
There have been a lot of layoffs in the past few months. The market isn’t the same now. There are more candidates out there and less positions.
Likely, this would not be possible once you start at RBC in January. Most banks have rules about the amount of time you are in a role before you change internally. Therefore, once you would start on the first team, the second team would no longer be able to hire you (HR wouldn’t allow it).
Yeah. Same thoughts, actually. I think HR is strict regarding this matter.
It's technically possible, the system will allow it. I don't know about policy, HR or if it's a good idea. You just need the old manager to approve the transfer.
I would not suggest it. You typically have to wait atleast a year before you can move teams. I would be honest with them now and see what they say.
I wouldn’t. You will likely have to work with your hiring manager for the director position, and they will not be pleased to have filled a role with someone who didn’t really want it and missing out on other candidates.
