I applied for an entry-level analyst position (2023) at Accenture a few days ago, and now have received invitation for an "optional" access to Accenture Discovery Portal, where it supposedly "simulates what it's like to work on an Accenture project" by answering certain questions.

While this seems optional, upon registration in the portal, I have to check a confirmation box that says everything I say is true etc. Should I take this seriously and prep or treat it as a truly optiona experience?

Why would you bother doing it if you’re not going to take it seriously? Either prep and do your best, or take them at face value that it’s optional and don’t do it at all.

Plot twist: the simulation is just a flurry of emails from an MD asking why you are over budget and behind schedule

PS: This was my first interview in the switching process so I’m not sure if I could have landed better offers or if this is the best I could get.

Feeling like I’ve been “bait-and-switched”…

I’ve been interviewing at an agency with the intention of filling a Director role. Recruitment reached out soon after my last meet-and-greet interview (about 6 to 7 people total) to tell me the team thinks I would be best suited for an Associate Director role with a fast follow of a Director promotion.

Recruitment can’t tell me what feedback is creating this gap but also won’t stop mentioning the positive praise and feedback the team had for me.

Hi everyone - I'm contemplating an offer from a large PI firm. I'm a little more than halfway through completing my 2nd year of practice, and I'm currently at a small firm with a low salary that's just no longer cutting it.

The offer from the large firm is for a pre-suit position, base salary of $100K - is this salary pretty standard for this kind of position?

Any insight is appreciated, thank you!!

Just got out of one of my final round interviews. It’s been over 8 weeks of prep. Got a little nervous and may have messed up on the case, PEI went okay. Have the other later this week. Hi
Applied for a position in Johnson and Johnson Canada. Reached the final round 3 weeks back. After not getting any updates I emailed the HR a couple of weeks back. They responded back telling me that they’ll have an update for me the next week. Again I emailed them on Thursday asking if they have anything for me before the long weekend ( Good Friday & Easter). No response whatsoever. Will emailing them again be inappropriate? I desperately need this job

Do you pay your credit cards in full every month?

I ask because I’ve let my credit spending get a bit lax since moving and adopting a puppy recently, so I haven’t been paying them off in full every month like I used to (though still well above the minimum payment, and keeping utilization at 30% or under). It got me thinking about how many people adhere to this advice.
