Hi Applied to PwC Strategy& for a consultant role and havent heard back from a recuiter however, I received an email for a survey asking what am I looking for in the company in terms of their culture, values etc and what other companies I have applied to. Is this a typical process? Not sure if thats the step 1 in the process or I have been rejected. Any feed back is appreciated. I am graduating from Ohio State with an MBA and have 8 years of experience in corporate accounting and finance.

Hello 🦈s,
Role: SAP ABAP
Current: 8 LPA
I am having offer from LTI for 10.5 Fixed & 1 Mouritech for 12 LPA Fixed.
I have also cleared PwC India interview & HR has told me that they can give me 10.5 as Fixed (Before 12 offer). I have not yet received the offer letter.
Now my question is will PwC consider this offer for the re-negotiation? Or will they not release the offer letter itself?
Also what should be my ask for a SAP ABAP Developer with experience of 3.3 Years?
Thanks in Advance 🙏

Making a change is always scary, but it sounds like you are doing the right thing for yourself!
I’m happy for you! It’s always scary to make a career change
Maybe you realize that lying undermines your reputation?
Lol this. EY2 apparently thinks he owes EY something called loyalty and hasn’t yet realized the firm doesn’t share the same sentiment
Going through a similar thing OP! I regretted that I did not think to change path sooner but... what is the point to feel regret at this point. I am trying to adjust my thinking so that it’ll help me push through the transition instead of wasting time in my bad thoughts. I joined some social network communities on fb and discord to help me get the career/emotional support I need from a non-tax perspective. Find a mentor from those groups to keep you on track from time to time in your journey. I was surprise to see how willing people are to help me so I am sure they will for you too! Part of the journey is having to face these tough decisions and the unknown. No change will be easy. I wish you all the best OP! We got this!

Thank you! It helps to know I’m not the only one going through this.
Good for you!! I have two friends that are Software Programmers with Computer Science Bachelors degrees. I have a Masters in Tax and my CPA. They also have been working less years than me are are making over double my salary. I frequently think that I chose the wrong degree/career from a financial perspective. They sometimes work overtime, but no where near as much as Tax busy seasons. I try to rationalize my lack of salary because I left public, went to industry, and now I’m in government because of the great benefits (insurance, 401k) and work life balance (decent hours plus lots of PTO).
All in all I’m saying if you think you want to change, go for it, it sounds like a great idea and will likely pay off soon. Hopefully working part time will give you enough money and enough time to focus on school. Do what is best for your career and life. Don’t worry about the firm. When I was in public my manager told me that it’s a business and they will always do what is best for them, and that I should do what is best for me.

Thank you for your insight. 😁
Another reason why I want to switch careers is because work life balance is important to me. Life is too short to be miserable and the clock keeps ticking...
I am in the same boat. I am taking data classes at CC while working fulltime. My goal is to work in tax/technology. I would predict that data people will take over accounting and tax field very soon. It is already happening. Good luck to you and all tax data geeks!
I am taking data management class (SQL). I have a friend who is a data engineer (specialized in SQL). She took all her classes at CC. You should try different things, and hope you will find the best path for your career.
It's always hard to start on a new path, if you don't need the money just do what's best for you. Your future self will thank you!
