I came to the US on an L1 visa. However, my company was exploiting me and I was helpless when my husband offered me to move to his h4 EAD , so I agree and got another job with H4 EAD , slowly, my husband started to abuse me, and mentally torture me and financially loot me because I am on his visa. What are my options H1B would take longer in the lottery and chances are, I might not get it, culturally I’m not giving him a divorce so I might not be eligible for u Visa, what can I do?

Just venting. College friend (same ethnicity but came to US with family as a kid) told me she might get a new job offer w a smaller firm, 50% pay bump. We currently work at comparable big firms but her pay is already higher than mine (hers include stocks, mine doesn’t). We did equally well in college & I know I’m just as smart. Can’t help but feel like my career’d have been much better if I did not need sponsorship. Smaller firms don’t sponsor so I work at a big firm but pay isn’t great 🙄
