Newbie to investing and never invested in a company that went through a reverse stock split.
In theory, I understand the market value should increase but I’m not seeing this reflected in the price and naturally my book value/ share is very disappointing.
A) When should I anticipate the stock appreciation to occur?
B) What’s the next move for companies that do this? Issue more shares?
TIA!

Nope that seems right. Millennial here too! 😅
Oh hey there, fellow millenial

I probably would have not bought the house immediately. On one hand, you should now at least be putting 40% of the mortgage payment against the debt as opposed to 100% of your rent going to someone else. But if it’s eating up the entire delta in your salary, that seems counterproductive unless it has given you utility in other areas (space, location, etc.).
You also get to pay more taxes on that 30K so at least you have going for you!

That is one depressingly negative way to look at life.
I don't think I am either then, did almost this exact same thing two years ago and it hurts lol. I keep telling myself it's better than throwing away money every month on rent, but that's not much consolation
Your mortgage should be no more than 25% of your monthly take home pay. If it is, then definitely may want to try cutting back on some other expenses or selling some things to put toward a car note, credit card debt, etc. Definitely feel you as a fellow millennial.
