The work is way more interesting, the client interaction is friendlier and more in-depth, hours can get tight during deadlines but overall very happy I switched into the group.
Chief
No problem. Hope your transfer goes through without a hick up, if you choose to do it
Yes do it. More interesting work - and hours aren’t as bad. There will be nights where you work later than you would in audit, but there’s also days you’ll be off early. No working late just to work late
I switched to FAAS and one important thing to note is that you won’t learn as much as quickly in FAAS as you do in audit.
Chief
Really? I had the opposite experience. I’ve been learning a ton more than I did in audit. I’ve been working directly under a senior manager since I stated and maybe that’s why. Like every service line it probably depends on which team/engagement you get put on

Which offices have FAAS practices?
I think our bigger offices like Dallas, LA, NYC, etc
Follow up: what kind of work do you actually do in the FAAS group?
Come to KPMG AAS. We are actively looking for people!

FAAS, CMAAS, AAS and ARAS are all the same, we compete on almost all engagements. There is little to no difference
