Yes you would after the gig ends. File a claim immediately after it does. And don’t worry about taking other fl gigs - you have to report every week if you make money or not, if you do your payment just gets pushed til the next week when you make $0. So you can take gigs here and there and essentially press “pause” until the job ends, then resume again.
Thank you so much. There was a 2 week lag period between my W2 and this contract gig. Do you think I should submit the claim now, mark those 2 weeks as 0 pay, and mark the recent gig weeks as paid? Or should I just wait to apply till the gig is over? Just want to make sure i’m not doing anything wrong for ✨the IRS✨
I’m not sure about that situation, you might be eligible depending on how long ago it was but personally I’d just wait til your current gig ends and start fresh. You could try contacting EDD and ask though
