Hi folks, how is thoughtworks as an organisation?
Asking because I don't know much about it and have received recruiter's call today. Currently I am working in Deloitte. How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? My research gives me a mixed review: some say it's good, some say that thoughtworks is not stable enough like big 4 or other organisations. Pls help Thoughtworks Deloitte

Make sure your knife is sharp as can be, that really cuts down on the onion releasing the stuff that makes you tear up.

Yes. After peeling the dry outer layer, turn on the cold water tap. Keep it running and rinse your hands and knife every few cuts. It keeps excess juice off your knife and hands and stops it squirting or evaporating into your eyes.
Don’t chop off the root!! Cutting that releases the thing that makes you cry

Low temperature is the key

Yes, if you intend to use a knife instead of a food processor, put the onions in the fridge for a little while before chopping them up.

I wear my college chem lab goggles 🤓
Buy them precut at any grocery store. Always have them on hand
I place a handheld vacuum cleaner next to the cutting board to suck away the vapors. Try it.
Trader joes! You get packets of chopped onions for $1.5 and they last a good week. Completely worth it! Each packet is good for 2-3 dishes worth of onions.
My 2nd option for dealing with onions is this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T8O6B1Q/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_i_7M-YEbG1VFRGY
Put them in the fridge for an hour or so before you cut them. Also don’t cut the butt off the onion until the very end!
Stick out your tongue when cutting
Do you already put them in the fridge? Makes them much more bearable to be cut straight out of the fridge.
