I have 12 YOE (big law and in-house at large US companies) and am thinking of moving to another in-house position at a large tech company in Asia. If I wanted to return to the US in 5-6 years, would I be at a large disadvantage because of my location? Would working in Asia kill or improve my career narrative?

I recently had an initial interview for a technical recruiter position. The guy on the phone stated that this is not a 9-5 job and long hours are expected. I proceed to ask how much PTO is offered and he said that is not recommend within the first 6 months of working and the harder you work the more PTO you receive.
