Lately, I've been thinking of leaving my full time job and going for a contractor position.

Does anyone know if there is a continuous demand for independent contractors in the role of tech lead? I am very much industry agnostic.

For career growth, what shall be my ideal path ahead?
1. Only concentrate on Integration
2. Continue Integration for some years, then switch to Functional modules (in this case, after how many years should I ideally switch)
