I have a supply chain background with tweny years of experience all the way up to Director of Logistics, all in the defense sector. Past three years been the program manager for a multi-billion dollar program, with 500+ plus employees. Recently contacted by a recruiter with a contract to hire position for one year with Siemens Bldg Tech (Corp) $260k year as an Sr. IT PM – Supply Chain. It is 95%, but requires moving to Louisville. Is this a good offer? Make more currently but want in on Pharma

Sounds good especially for the Louisville market.

I think it's a great offer. Louisville is a LCOL city so you'll be able to find a cheap place. I'd grab it if I were you.

I have two concerns. 1. It is a one year contract to hire and worry being an "outsider" 2. I know that bonuses are typically offered and asked I am hire after the year does the position comes with an incentive bonus. But they would not answer that

How much more do you currently make?

But I know that if I could the incentive bonus after a switching over permanent (hopefully) which is typically 15-80% of salary range from my understanding. So, it would be playing the long game and betting on myself down the line. Have a good friend whose wife is a SVP at BBraun and I hear about the salary + bonuses for various levels of supply chain.

I think you should negotiate for more if you're already making more. You could get close to your current salary and still break into the pharma industry!
