I transferred firms to EY almost a year ago. I’m currently a SA1. I recently got my H1-B extension. Is it reasonable to assume that EY will start my GC application once I’ve been with the firm for a year? Or do I need to be at a higher rank or have less time left on my H1-B for them to get the process started?

Depends on the account. Avoid Pfizer team like the plague. Good work life balance to the point of being boring. Awesome perks like discounted massage and cheap barista-made drinks. Hands down the most boys-club, sexist place I’ve ever worked, but in a “friendly” way. Having Kathy as CCO makes a lot of the men think the agency is “above” that. Negotiate hard when you’re going in because raises and promotions are very slow to happen.
not a good career move. but they’ll do a great job convincing you it is. Also-high turnover, everyone miserable and it’s a back stabbing environment.
CW1 -Agree w all. My core exposure was on the Pfizer account. Still feel the PTSD from that period.

CW1, are we talking about the same S&SW? I love the place, and it's the most diverse, non-sexist place I've freelanced at. Gay, straight, old, young, and the most ethnically diverse workforce out there. Not sure about Pfizer, but I've worked in a bunch of groups and white males are def in the minority.
I still have PTSD from the Pfizer account. Most toxic environment and everyone miserable, disempowered and dysfunctional. Getting a headache just thinking about it.
Any comments on the AbbVie account?
