Hello 🐟🎏
When will be the retention bonus will be paid if a candidate joined TCS in the middle of the financial year. I.e September'22... Will that be paid on next year's September'23 Month only after completing an year in TCS?
And will the Retention bonus will also be considered as taxable income of the the current year taxes(2022-23)?
Looking for valuable suggestions!!!

Age 32. NW 8.5x. Just took a big pay cut though to shift careers. Was 5.1X.
How did you pivot to VC?

Net worth is 6 to 7 times annual income. I’m giving a range because my income has varied meaningfully over the last few years.
Interesting aside that goes to how meaningful the answer/ you’ll receive are:
Im expecting a promotion within the next year or so that will increase my income such that even with a higher absolute net worth, I will have a lower net worth relative to my income.
I expect you’ll see a lot of variability in folks in the mid 20s (because their student loan debt will vary a lot) and folks in the 50ish range (because that tends to be around when lots of folks have their biggest comp climbs). Although there aren’t tons of late middle aged people on here.

NW of 7X joint income, age 44. Goal is to retire in 12 yrs (age 56) with house paid off, and take 3% annual withdrawals.
About 10x. Give or take. But salary has jumped up or down a good bit over my career. 52 yrs old
Age 47. Net worth is 7.5x income.
Age 24. NW is 0.3x of annual income.
Realizing that I should probably be saving more.
As a follow up, is it a pipedream to be able to achieve 20-25x NW to income ratio (4% rule)? Or would that just likely signal your income is low or dropped?
I prefer to use total expenses against NW vs income to NW. We would never need 25x current income. Our FI number is about 12x current income, and that's being conservative, giving about 30x expected expenses in retirement.
Just got promoted. Net worth is 1.6x new salary or 2.1x old salary. Age 26
