I’m in the same age group, SC in Chicago market. 136K for me, 9YOE. Compensation and growth are the weakest part of Slalom. Truly poor comp structures and career growth opportunities.
Promotions. Very difficult and vague promo process in which you have no visibility into what’s going on. Not only that but the amount of justification and evidence you need to support your promotion is just ridiculous

So I am internal facing, so I can't speak to every client-facing opportunity. I am aligned to public sector, which is definitely busy because it's short staffed. They're hiring like crazy. That said, the culture seems great and everyone is very protective of time and work life balance. I have maybe a few hours of calls a day, and there's a big push to protect your time. Default call length is only half an hour.
My boss also encouraged me when I started to take time in the middle of the day if I have to run an errand or be at an appointment or something. So I think the culture is very good. The idea is we're all adults here, so if your work is getting done, you can pretty much select your own hours.
Hi - also 30F in supply chain & pregnant. I’m an internal consultant with solid work life balance but would like to get into SC specific consulting so following! Best luck!
