I have an opportunity to buy a home in a other state but it’s moving so fast I wouldn’t be able to move into it until I make some arrangements for remote work with my current company. I don’t currently own a home (am renting) and the bank required a letter from my company is required to show that I can work remote (this will take some time I’m sure). The owner would accept our bid now. Should I try for a investment/secondary mortgage approach in case the company doesn’t approve remote?

I had to do this for my lender and just asked my boss to write a letter. Told my boss nothing would change with my current work schedule

Not following ey1, if allowed to work remotely and it's a primary residence it's not fraud.

Hi all, if you’re a mid or senior copywriter in LA looking to join an advertising/entertainment/tech startup on the ground floor, give a shout. You’ll be writing everything from ads featuring celebrities to blog posts, videos, ads for our platform, and probably a few hundred other things. You’ll also work with our parent company, a premier Hollywood production/management company. The role is partially remote (come for key meetings and brainstorms but work remote other days). Feeling like I’ve been “bait-and-switched”…

I’ve been interviewing at an agency with the intention of filling a Director role. Recruitment reached out soon after my last meet-and-greet interview (about 6 to 7 people total) to tell me the team thinks I would be best suited for an Associate Director role with a fast follow of a Director promotion.

Recruitment can’t tell me what feedback is creating this gap but also won’t stop mentioning the positive praise and feedback the team had for me.

After being mugged and having my things (including my keys) stolen, I was locked out of my townhome after business hours on a weekend. I was told on the phone when dialing my complex’s after hours number (which is managed by a 3rd party company) that my complex’s policy would let me in for a cost of $100 (as it was after hours). After I was let in, property manager informed me the charge was $200. Is there anything I can do here? This is in Minnesota. Help appreciated!!

From a financial standpoint in this market, which would be a better approach in Austin -

1. Buy a ~8-850k house that meets most of our ideal criteria (size, schools, interiors etc) to stay long term

2. Buy a ~5-550k house that’s not ideal with the plan of moving into an ideal home in 4-5 years when kid is ready for school.
