Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express
Hi,
I had received a shortlisting call from Axis Bank. The HR told me link will be shared where I need to update my documents.
I didn't receive any link and HR confirmed that there is some system issue hence link has not come.
Now, it has been 4-5 days, HR is not receiving my calls.
Is someone aware about such issue with Axis Bank HR portal? Axis Bank Ltd

HireVue does both but I believe EY only does real person interviews.
Please correct me if others have had a different experience
I did a recorded HireVue last year when I applied to EY in college.

God, if it was just responding to scripted questions I’d probably pull out. What kind of disrespectful nonsense is that?

Again - id pull out, that’s the most ticky tack you’re not worth our time Ive ever seen.
It's a live chat with EY employees. I have conducted them before. It's basically the same as any in person interviewing with questions being specific to your background and and the role you're applying to.
Honestly, my answer to this is to just ask HR, they are just like you and me. They will tell you the interview format, who you'll be interviewing with, etc. Everything you hear here is speculation
We do both. I see value in the pre recorded interviews.
We are doing the interviews that would have been live virtually right now. I just interviewed someone for an experienced senior position the other day on HireVue. They have a set of general questions you can ask during the interviews. I use them, or variations sometimes, however, you can generally tell within the first few minutes if the candidate is decent or not. I normally treat the interview as a conversation and mix the questions in to get a feel for if the person is a good fit or not.
For first round screenings, au actually prefer answering scripted questions that can be recorded and forwarded to hiring manager. This is much better than the typical first round screening interview with an HR recruiter where they add little value to the process. I’ve always doubted they are capable of adequately documenting and relaying my answers to the hiring managers and they typically can’t answer any in-depth questions about the role. The ones I’ve done have had video attached too which, depending on your perspective, can be a good or bad thing. It allows the hiring manager to actually see how you respond (are you confident, do you have executive presence, etc.) but it can also play towards biases.
