Hi All,
I joined Tech Mahindra for 5 days only and didn't find suitable timing for my project and emailed resignation mail to manager and HR. After that HR asked me to resign over portal but at the same time blocked my portal. After requesting many times they didn't unblock my portal and pretended like they want to unblock but there is some issue going on and marked my profile absconded. I have cleared fnf but they are not providing reliving letter but added pf amount also. What to do?

Just jump ship
If you’re going to get promoted and a raise at YE you’ll definitely not get a raise before then if you ask for it. By all means ask and be “that person”. Or jump ship like everyone’s been saying
You will absolutely get a better offer elsewhere. Polish that resume and jump ship
Agree with KPMG1. Definitely wait to see if you get promoted. Then either way shop yourself around with or without the new title.
You could jump ship now, and guesstimate what your salary would be. You can use Glassdoor. Then base your raise off of that number. I’ve been using that tactic and no one has asked for my salary outright. They assume, as an SC at Deloitte, that I’m making way more than I actually am. So the bumps in salary have been huge 😬
DD1, that is only true for some parts of Advisory. Analytics generally pays the same. I know I make the same as my peers in AIM. If OP is audit, yeah they’re paid less.
Forgot to mention that I will most likely get promoted this year (I missed narrowly last year). But this salary equation just seems like a Blackbox, what are some successful strategies that worked for you at YE?
Dude 12% total? Idk what you should do. Hopefully you’ve been shopping your resume.
Huh? What group within Deloitte are you? I got a 5% raise my first YE and I had only been at the firm for 6 months...
This has to be audit or something like that?
What have your ratings been? What group are you in?
I am in Risk & Financial Advisory group, we use Snapshots instead of ratings
Well jumping ship has not happened despite my interviews in the best companies, so for now think this is the best company (atleast in big4/MBB) for my current role and I have a really good network/reputation now.
Ahh yes advisory pays lower than consulting at Deloitte
Surprised that no one here has asked for higher salaries and gotten them
@D1 what level are you and salary?
1st year consultant (analyst) 75k. I’ve talked to seniors who have said the same
Coming back to provide context.. I did actually negotiate a higher salary than many in SF when I started as an experienced Senior Consultant, however it is way below market rate especially per SF living expenses.
However, after much deliberation and many interviews I am happy to report that I got a much better (>50% increase) offer from a financial firm so I am going to start working there pretty soon. Great advice guys, 'twas so hard to quit the comfort zone and flexibility at D.
Awesome! I haven’t left and stopped trying. Talked to a recruiter today and he also offered a $35-65 raise but it’s a tiny firm which is terrifying
