Sounds like a senior manager Op. sorry about this. Call your ethics hotline.
Contact your Ombud if you have one. They won’t force you to take action if you don’t want to, and they can walk you through the options. There are special protections for this, done correctly.
Care to provide a bit more context?
Yeah bro, spill it!
Not sure where you work OP, but a lot of companies have an ombudsman for exactly this reason. There’s usually a rep for each region. At BCG it’s made very clear to all levels that there will not be retaliation for reporting values/ethics violations, but I can’t speak for other companies.
If it is Accenture, call the COBE hotline. The latest ethics training makes it very clear that retaliation will not be tolerated at any cost.
Their actions will do more to hurt the company than any loss of sales, etc. that they could generate.
There will be no retaliation if this is Accenture. I know some junior people think the company only cares to protect senior people. In reality we all know the only way to keep good people is to protect them and listen. It doesn't mean the reviewers always agree, it does mean retaliation is not tolerated.
Fine line between being savvy and all the above described.
For example saying a client that they oversaw the analysis without giving you any credit maybe in bad faith but not illegal. Particularly when client appreciates senior people hands on involvement.
More context is necessary.
Thanks for the context. Unless something is being stolen here just looks like poor workmanship rather than ethics. I would just flag to the partner if there are more rumblings from the client.
There maybe a bigger picture here where the CEO agenda might be different than a few people in middle management. As a result the senior manager is ignoring their requests. You might hear grumblings from middle managers as expected. Again I am speculating as the client can easily walk if they are not getting what they need.
Would just flag it to the partner unless you can provide some more context why this may. It be feasible/good idea.
Abuse of power, dishonesty, lying to both clients and internal people for their own self promotion 🚩
Wait! Are you talking about your SM or our President?
sounds like you are being very general. Report it if you think it is anything.
Welcome to consulting? If you dare call that whistleblower hotline like your firm will genuinely protect you and are interested you’re a grade A shmuck 😂
G1 is saying that: call the hotline and it will come back on you. the offense sounds like you have an axe to grind and not firm reputation risk.
