I see many posts saying that we get a lot of calls during Notice Period.
What do you mean by getting calls? Like even without applying??
Because few posts say "I'm getting lot of calls, but only selecting a few to attend".
Please explain how do we get calls. I have just started my notice period and need some serious suggestions.

Hi folksCognizantDXC Technology I have 15 years of experience in Cognizant..joined as PAT and rose thru the ranks to be SM..in recent years, bad policies at org level and increasing attrition has been breaking me personally and professionally. Got an offer from DXC with Accenture also in pipeline. Both roles are kinda individual contributor roles (very less mgmt part) which I like (Domain role).. pls advise - is it advisable to join DXC at this point? I get 23.5 CTC - how much to ask for?

Did you confirm that you have joined the company in writing via signing some document or any e-mail ?

@Deloitte 1 - It does speak about the environment. Basically they can't trust/don't want to trust the employee even before they join. Even if we assume some might actually lie about such things, there's no need for verification. Tomorrow the company might ask you for doctor's certificate if you want to take a sick leave.
As long as you haven't made any written communication or signed (even digitally) any document confirming that you have joined the organisation, I don't think they can initiate any legal action.
but this is my opinion, ask around in your network as well.
The HR may be bluffing and inducing fear only to coax you into staying and signing whatever documents they want.
Spending money on legal action against you will be much more expensive than hiring a new resource for them. If you don't have any assets, especially laptop, you're free to do whatever your want.
They wont do nything...everyyear 1000 join and almost 50+ do this for them its usual and doing all these tactics is also usual...they would send 2-3 emails and then it will stop...had happened with me so telling from experience
