I'm thinking of bringing on partners but am trying to figure out how to structure compensation, profit sharing and equity while maintaining control. I have received offer letter from Optum Global Solutions India recently and I am seriously considering joining it(I also have offers from Deloitte USI and Verizon).
My breakup annexure mentions 4 components apart from RRP and PF. Basic, HRA, Flexi, Special Allowance. Either the Special Allowance or the Flexi is not included in the CTC mentioned in offer letter. So I want to understand how the Flexi and Special Allowance are paid monthly. Can someone please help?

*Ohio* I stepped into a role as Software Engineer (.Net) with no experience at $70k. Six months ago I had brought up the fact I was being underpaid for the job I was doing with now 3 years of experience being the only Engineer on the team and my manager agreed giving me an increase to $90k. My manager is wanting to get me some help and posted a new role modeled after me (3 yrs exp) w/ salary between $88k-$126k. Please give me a rough estimate on how much hike we can expect in my annual salary revision. I expected 8LPA when I joined. They gave me 5LPA with a promise of revision in 3months after joining. They inc it to 7.75LPA after 4m and during appraisal cycle gave 25k 11months to make it to 8LPA. In Oct my hike is due, so I would to like negotiate my hike. Any attorneys in the Bay Area practicing just in estate planning (not litigation), can you give your take on whether you would get enough business to do only planning? I'm currently doing family law and I want to start moving away from litigation. For family law there really isn't a non litigation role that produces enough business (i.e. mediation). I do okay, but definitely have to take on more litigation than I prefer. I was thinking estate planning might be a good addition to the mix.
