I have to reduce the number of hours I spend directly engaging in the community. How do you get a community to the point where they somewhat manage themselves?

With a lot of work and education, if you give content to the community every day, they will expect something every day, you must know how to manage and speak the correct language.

You must let them know the moments in which you will provide content, that is, you can say every 2 days, every 3 days, or every week, that way the community will be attentive and you do not have to be always active.

A good way is to use the stories of the different networks to keep the expectation and then you use the post responsibly every certain number of days.

Something that we usually do in our agency is detected very active people who know about the brand and so sometimes people ask questions or make comments, what we do is respond to this person by tagging that user that we already know who knows the brand, that user tends to respond and help us with the community without realizing it.

To reduce the time you spend in the community, it would be good if you communicated it to them, people tend to understand that you should take some time, and that works if it's a personal account, now if it is a brand, the process is more difficult because people are used to it to something, in that case, you should do it little by little.

Hopefully you can't, I'm tryna keep my job lol!

I am about to transition from being a junior partner at a large law firm (my practice has focused on private equity M&A) to Deputy General Counsel at a large-ish Pubco. I am already giving myself a crash course in public securities and corporate governance from my firm’s training materials and my cap markets partners, but I also wanted to poll the audience for other suggestions on how to become as prepared as possible for my new role please.
