I have worked for a company for a year and half. When hired I took the minimum salary. With the exception that we talk raise after a year. I was promised quarterly bonuses I have not received 1. And no talk of a raise. I was told in April the store was at a 50% increased profit. I was told I sold more of one item this year than in company history. I like my bosses but feel im worth so much more.

Stay or leave. You know your worth. It’s unfortunate but for myself and others, you don’t get paid what you are worth by staying long term at an employer but by switching to an employer who will pay you at market rate.

It’s sad and frustrating but it is the reality for many.

You can try asking your bosses directly for a pay increase, but take what is said with a grain of salt.

You need to advocate for yourself. Jot down some notes about things you've done for the company that have gone well, and use your notes to create a pitch about yourself. To get a raise you have to make it about yourself and stress that you've grown in your job and your salary should reflect that. You're a better worker than you were when you were hired, that should be a theme you weave into the case you make for getting a raise.

They're taking advantage of you. Force the conversation and get them to commit in writing to paying you the bonuses you were promised and providing a concrete timeline on when you'll be eligible for a raise. If they refuse, you need to leave.

Hi all. I just received an offer for $130k and will be eligible for about 29,000 shares of stock options. The vesting schedule is 1 year and then quarterly thereafter.

Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I’m located in NY so the recruiter said he would try to get me more. I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. Started a new job a year ago, high performer. My manager suggested a promotion to Product Manager since that‘s the work I’m doing, but that would be a 50% raise. Higher ups decided instead to make a “new role” (not PM), that has no analog in the company and is hard to price via Glassdoor, etc. I feel like this is to limit my promotion salary to something like 10% from where it currently is. How realistic is it to land an AD position as a fresh grad (with a doctorates) and a handful of pharma & FDA interships? I have been in my current job for 1 year now as a booking coordinator for a logistics company.
