I hope all NDs read this 💞

You got to trust yourself. Often with ADHD, we are taught to question ourselves and constantly criticized for not fitting the mold society wants us to fit.

We got to realize it's not meant for us to fit. After all the mold is just to be a cog in the system for the 1%, nothing else.

See we, ND people are highly intelligent, highly creative, innovative thinkers. We aren't the fold, we are above it. We think outside of the box, innovate and creative.

We got to realize it's not meant for us to fit. After all the mold is just to be a cog in the system for the 1%, nothing else.

See we, ND people are highly intelligent, highly creative, innovative thinkers. We aren't the fold, we are above it. We think outside of the box, innovate and creative. Our minds are built different. We are highly talented, just not great at being robots.

Given the power of the ADHD mind, it's obvious society is built to disconnect ND people from themselves and their own power. Hence we all overthink, question ourselves, spend excess energy in matters that truly don't matter. It's all designed that way.

Learn to let go, learn to trust yourself and your powers.

No the meds won't help you, they will help the corporations and 1% though.

What will help: Look yourself in the mirror every day, especially first thing in the morning and right before you go to sleep and say: "I trust myself. I am powerful." You can even add other phrases as you go: "I am a leader. I am healthy. I am wealthy, etc"

This may sound silly and so simple. But it's truly the key. Your mind is on a program that is harming you and taking away from you. You need to reset and replace that program with the mindset I have shared.

If you can listen to this pattern of words while you are sleeping every night: EXTREMELY POWERFUL

In couple weeks you won't even recognize who you and how confident and powerful you have become 💕

P.S. One of my favorite books on this subject is "ADHD: A Hunter in a Farmer's World" by Thom Hartmann. He poses the hypothesis that ADHD was an advantage for our hunter/gatherer ancestors. So those traits were passed down, becoming the most common neuro-spicy condition in the world.

This rings true and gives me hope that some of us will be able to figure out ways to make our ADHD traits an advantage once again. It's definitely possible. We just will probably have to get extremely creative.

ADHD medication with high Blood Pressure?

I found ADHD meds helpful when I worked in consulting in my 20s. I stopped the meds when I went back to school. Also have had High BP since late 20s. 15 years away, I am back in consulting and loving it, however my difficulties juggling so many projects/tasks is holding me back. I know I would benifit from some ADHD medication but my Dr won’t prescribe any with my history of BP (controlled with BP meds). Anyone else gone through this? Any tips?

Just here to say I’m so thankful we have this safe space. People who aren’t diagnosed generally have misconceptions about ADHD and its symptoms, and I’m so grateful we have this bowl to seek help, learn from one another, and sometimes just vent! With all the negativity in the world, this bowl is that one ray of sunshine I so desperately need, so thank you everyone for what you have done and what you’ll continue to do!

Anyone a manager? I’m recently diagnosed (26F) and I can’t help but beat myself up everytime I fall short of my to do list. Makes me feel like a huge disservice to my team. If anyone feels similar, how do you manage these feelings? I’m personally considering switching to an individual contributor role, but can’t help but feel like a disappointment if I do.
