Can you find out specifics for the company?
Personally I would connect with someone at the company in the same role or someone who use to work there and ask if that seems like a reasonable number. LinkedIn is a good place to start that kind of search. Glassdoor is somewhat a good resource for specific company insights.
Can you provide more specifics on the industry, YOE, company size, etc. Not all titles are made equal
This looks about right in my experience, have friends in the industry in NJ so probably slighly less in Midwest and then $5-10k less if no PE.
Example base salary ranges listed below (commensurate with expertise/ability/years with P.E. license), plus annual performance bonus and additional incentive pay for each hour worked excess of the 40-hour schedule.
P.E. licensure < 5 years: $90,000 to $110,000
P.E. licensure 5-10 years: $110,000 to $120,000
Job
Water Resource Engineer
Commonwealth Engineers, Inc.
511 E 4th St, Huntingburg, IN 47542
Yea that is really really low. My friend is a project manager-tech lead (that is her title), has no direct reports, and makes 186k a year before her bonus. And that is in Georgia where the cost of living is not particularly high. I would definitely say you should be making WAY more than that.
Industry type, degree, location, years of experience in what, and benefits are all a factor. But in general that’s a low salary.
