At some point I decided to let it go and focus on my job then ask for a pay rise based on performance in future, but it’s quite eating me up as I keep feeling I made a lower offer. Anyone been in this situation before? How did you navigate it?
Yes, corporations bank on you not knowing what your peers make. Your best bet is to get friendly with a couple peers so you can find out. Say you want to ask for a raise at your next review but want to make sure you aren't at the top of the band. Tell them yours and if they make more they will tell you that you're not at the top.
