I just had one of the best healthcare experiences I have had in a long time. It was at an urgent care so it wasn’t my regular practice. How would you go about recognizing them? Google review? Something else?

A Google review helps, but written feedback to the clinic or organisation naming specific staff can have a real internal impact.

like

Facebook or Google, check the organization’s website, they may have a place to post comments.

Definitely go to Google and leave a review. As a healthcare worker myself, my coworkers and I will occasionally go through our company’s Google reviews just to see what’s been said lately and all have to brag if our name has been mentioned! Lol. Google is also the first place I go for reviews when I’m looking for a new doctor before getting a referral myself. Also, personally calling and asking to speak with the supervisor and verbally staff names and experience can be super beneficial to the staff themselves! Hope this helps :)

like

Yeah I think that's a great idea. Google review is the only place I can really think of that someone would look before going there. You could also send a personal thank you to the physician that helped you. That will have a more intimate, personal impact but could still be meaningful!

like

That’s a good idea, thank you!

What made it such a great experience?

like

The whole experience felt smooth, from check in to finishing. The staff worked well together and communicated what to expect next. The doctor took her time with me and made sure all of my questions were answered. The clinic had a number system so it was easy to know when my turn was being called and where I needed to go and when.

like

If they do the follow up survey, answer it.

The old fashioned customer letter works too.

like

Yes, I often dismiss those but I know at my work they do pay attention to them. Good reminder!

like

Definitely a Google review. That means a lot. Bonus points if you can get a few people to vote your review as helpful (or whatever the Google terminology is). It's kind of like how Amazon reviews work. If enough people vote on it, it'll be one of the first things people see when they look for "urgent care near me" and see the listing.

Oh I didn’t know about that feature, thank you!

I just got a really great offer, only downside is the eligibility for maternity leave is after 12 months of employment. We got a faint positive today but have had so many chemical pregnancies over the past year that I am not confident it will stick this time BUT I am on aspirin and progesterone for this try … so it could.. I want to see if I could negotiate being eligible earlier but I also don’t want them to think I’m pregnant when I’m not actually… How would you approach the conversation?
