People you work with can make all the difference in the world- good or bad. Makes sense that you’d stay. I’m glad you work with such great people.
Oh I feel this so much. I love my coworkers, I have a fantastic team, and my school community is so wonderful. That being said, I could make significantly more at a larger more suburban district and my commute would be significantly shorter, but I highly doubt I’ll have all the things that make me love my job in a new district. I’m so torn - do I make the switch and make more money but potentially be miserable or do I stay where I am and continue to pinch pennies? It’s so hard - I do not know the answer!
To find a job where you love your colleagues is rare. Weigh out the pros and cons but for me, good colleagues would definitely make me think twice about leaving.

I agree. People make a HUGE difference. Weigh it out
My colleagues were why I stayed in a toxic school 2 years longer than I should have. Ironically, the year I left 3 of my favorite colleagues did, too. Only 2 of us knew we were looking. The other 2 were a shock to us and all 4 of us shocked the rest of the staff.
I learned that when it’s time to go, it’s time to go.
I think that you owe it to yourself to see what else is out there. There is still a shortage of teachers so if you don't like it, I'm sure you could come back.
What will you do when/if your friends leave?
You will still be able to maintain that friendship iif you work elsewhere. Do not let that hold you back from being happy.

Yup yup yup! Feel this to my core. Colleagues can make it or break it.
