I make it a priority in the am before work.
Lower your goal - if 20-30 minutes feels like too much, try for 5 mins. Make a game of it - see if you can consistently fit one 5-minute wiggle into your day every day. Then try for two. It gets easier as you start feeling the benefits.
One of my coworkers is into chair yoga during lunch. But she also does brain breaks of dancing with her class during the day. She says it helps her ADHD and feels calmer as the day winds down. She teaches 3rd grade. She says it really helps when she runs out of her meds.
Hope that helps you out a little bit.
Basically, just fit it in as you work through your day. ☮️🙏
I do dance breaks, too! It 100% keeps me focused allowing myself to move and enjoy a beat and just get weird for like 3-5 minutes (a timer, obviously) does wonders for my productivity and my mood!
I would never drop it like its hot in the office though! LOL Just in case anyone needs that clarification for trying something new to increase focus and serotonin LOL not advisable in the office.
Brain breaks and getting the wiggles out are so important for our youth!
I paid a personal trainer at a private gym. The guilt of letting him down helps me show up. It costs more and that sucks, but that’s what I have to do to actually go to the gym.
I like to exercise in little bursts throughout the day or at night so I go to sleep faster.
Yeah, the trick for exercising after work for me is to not sit or lay down on anything comfy until I do it. That really motivates me to get it out of the way because sitting in my couch nest is one of the best parts of the work day.
For me it’s a non negotiable. 20 mins cardio every single day before work. If I can do weights too then great but if not I just make sure I get that 20 mins running or peloton or cross trainer (high resistance) in no matter what. If you have to set your alarm 20 mins early then do it- the payoffs are so worth it

I've been bike/bussing to school and that's been helping a lot.
stairs count. parking lots count. look at anything you're already doing, and embrace any opportunity to move. find something you like to do. that's the best way to be motivated...intrinsically, because you like the feeling.
i used to run every week because i liked my friend's company. talked about it in this article:

My workout involves me chasing after or playing with my 6 year old son. While that doesnt't sound like a workout to some people, I you don't realize how many steps a mother can get in during these times! My watch is always alerting me with some goal or new record I completed with the like ring of fire show on an iwatch. I'm like oh okay cool double whammy because I was just trying to be more fun and present with my son on our way to the park.
Best kind of workout! Well, second best.
