I have an offer from Mercer to join as module lead with 12.5 fix CTC and annual incentive plan which is not clearly mentioned in offer letter. My joining date is 31st October so as per company policy anyone joining after 1st oct won't be eligible for appraisal cycle nor for annual incentive plan..which makes my package 12.5 lacs for next one and a half year.
Not sure if it would be a wise decision, current CTC is 9.08 lacs Mercer

Have you performed a search on LinkedIn?
In just the past 24 hours 414 PM roles were posted in my area. See what comes up for you.
Number of roles, eh... 🤷🏻♂️
Quality of roles 👈
Personally, I think a lot of them are trash roles, and not just right now.
If I'm looking for good PM/PgM/Director roles, when I'm digging into the details and interviewing my interviewers, I decline 4 out of every 5 offers I get. And that's after excluding 75%+ of the roles before even getting to an interview.
Weeding through the junk and finding the worthwhile opportunities takes longer as the number of roles out there increases.
1. Most don’t unless it’s mandated by the state
2. This is by design to not give comp intel
3. Title =/ seniority (lots of ic roles with 8+yoe)
4. Shit happens
5. Hard to be specific given everyone is learning/adapting to hybrid
6. What’s wrong with these? I appreciate the honesty
7. It’s by design.. to assess you on multiple fronts (a bad hire is very costly)
8. This is annoying but every big company’s processes still does this
9. We’re all very busy
Just trying to help/lower expectations here..
Now my PMO mainly consulting job doesn’t sound too bad, I’ll take away some useful skills hopefully cause very project and program management based
Oh absolutely. While I’m applying to consulting roles, I’m also getting contacted for Sr. Project Manager roles. This is why I’m not opposed to tech consulting. PM skills are key to change, product, program, and portfolio management.
