I lead operations, 4 divisions, 2 of my leaders have been let go, company won’t backfill so I have had to absorb their duties. Now I have over a dozen direct reports, 40 individuals across those divisions. I asked for leader backfill from HR, Direct leader, c suite, and CEO, many times, all no, not yet. I broke down crying that I need help to HR, and was told “ You need to officially raise your hand”. I said, of course, I need help! Totally humiliating to be forced to cry uncle to get seen.

How do you cope when your employer rapidly descends into chaos from the top down? Today is my 2yr anniversary with this company. In the past 6mos, they have repeatedly changed directions / goals, pushing out several supportive and productive managers in favor of a single chauvinist overlord who makes HR violations daily and does no actual work. What is the correct course of action when you find out (secondhand from their spouse) that co-counsel has dementia but refuses to discuss it or withdraw from your case, and is not returning calls? Can't tell client because no proof therefore could be disparaging co-counsel.

My manager got hired with 0 actual sales experience, comes from operations and marketing. It’s impossible to take any of his advice seriously, he ends team meetings and messages with “always be closing”. Like tf you know about closing, go back to making your PowerPoints.
