Been doing some PD work.. enough hours to get a snapshot but can I just not request one? Feeling like the SA hates me and I could've done better.

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?

What is the advice on what feedback to leave for a peer who really sucks at everything y'all have worked together on? It's about the time where everyone on my team requests feedback from each other and I'm nervous for it coming up. My manager knows that everything I've worked w her on I end up doing 90% of the work when it's meant to be split so it is a known issue. We're both at level 3 so are genuinely peers. However, after doing the job for 2 months, I have been advised that we might not get the funding for the role and I might not get the raise and the title but my responsibilities will be the same.

I find myself questioning basic politeness I’ve learned since a child. Wondering what everyone else thinks. I work with an associate. She’s great. When she does good work or something I’ve asked her to do, I, of course, say “thank you!” I don’t really expect a response. She always replies “you’re welcome!” Or some variation. And for some reason, that’s awkward. Is it just me? I know in normal manners, that is the right response. Why does it sit funny?

How do you build rapport with your colleagues?

Starting to feel a little defeated. How do you deal with an executive that works on their calendar too? And doesn’t really give you full control? I was moving things around making a meeting work and then my executive moved everything around and screwed up everything I worked on.

Past jobs were casual dress and I have been working remotely for the past years. Starting a new job that’s hybrid for a bank and their attire is business casual. It’s starting to get too cold for flats. Are booties/ankle boots appropriate?

I’m my partners only associate and I went on parental leave two weeks ago. I feel horrible for leaving him to handle our cases alone, but am trying to focus on my wife and new baby. I have interviews coming up at BD in Maryland and, coming from the hospital world, I have no clue what salary to ask for. The position is a scientist/quality role for microbiology research and development. For context, I have 4 years of experience in a hospital blood bank and am a certified Medical Laboratory Technologist. I was thinking in the 65-70k range, but the recruiter made it seem like that was easily attainable so I’m worried I’m asking too low. Would 75-80k be do-able?
