Agree with BDO1 and BDO2. The other factor mid market firms will consider is how many years of audit manager experience you have before leaving PA.
I’d say it’s a possibility but would need a partner backing you coming back.
Depends on how you can leverage your new experience. Also, might be more doable at mid market firms.
You could absolutely leverage your experience from after you've left PA until now to become a SM.
Also depends how long you were a manager for. If you were newly promoted to manager and left after a month likely not. But I’d you left as an experienced manager that combined with your current experience it should be reasonable to come back as a senior manager.
I left after a year of being a manager, so I went through a busy season.
I think you can. In fact, I’ve heard of people doing this. We love “boomerangs” as you have now obtained some sort of industry experience that has hopefully given you perspective and learnings that you can bring back to the engagement teams.
