McKinsey & Company McKinsey & Company I have my first rounds (2 cases) for a position at the risk practice. Will I be interviewed by consultants in the risk practice? I wonder if I can ask some risk practice specific questions at the end of the interviews. (Didn’t get the names of the interviewers yet so I cannot google)

Take it quick. 40% salary increase. Sets you up for more in the future. Your agency will replace you in a second.
Congrats! Does the agency have a good reputation and will you be able to make work you’re proud of? That’s a big increase in both title and pay, I would take it and set yourself up for your future. You can always leave if you don’t like it but you’ll have a new base for your title and salary.
It’s a “French” group. Not a fan of the French usually... but the client seems to be doing good work.
Gotcha. Either way, I’d take it. But you might use the offer also to get a better position and salary at the agency you’re currently with. Good luck!
Take the offer. No agency is a family.
Ask for a counter offer and find put what your real worth at your current place is. Hopefully they love you as much as you love them. If not, leave. Anywhere could be better than or as good as your current place, but you won’t know if you don’t try! Worst case scenario, you’ve got a 40% increased salary while you look for the next gig that matches your next current salary. And worst worst case scenario, your current agency will likely take you back easily - most are desperate for talent now
Do they have a lot of boomerangers? Like you leave for 9-18 months and then try to come back at a higher position.
Get the other agency’s offer in writing before you talk to your current agency.

If the second agency is good, take it in a heartbeat
If you really want to stay, why did you interview elsewhere? If you stay, use the offer as leverage.
Did not seek to interview. They came and talked to me. I thought why not, just to get a sense of how the market was doing. And they are interested. It’s sadly easier to get a job when you already have a job...
If you can get a 15-20% increase in your current role then use it as leverage. Otherwise, take the new offer. I’d connect with one other former employees on LI first (2nd connection) and make sure the company ethos is what you’re looking for...I made two decisions, mostly based on money, in the past and I didn’t stay at either agencies longer than 2 years. I promised myself I would never let it outweigh the other factors moving forward. But hey, everyone is different. Good luck and congrats!

See if your company will match, if not take it and don’t look back. Congrats!
Ask for a counter offer from your current place.
What is this magical agency you work at? Share so if you leave, others can go somewhere nontoxic
Take the money. Or you’ll learn the hard way that loyalty in advertising is never rewarded.
Hmmm not sure
Money and titles will be even more impressive if you soak up as much knowledge from amazing colleagues, love your job, build up all sorts of enthusiasm and do killer work. So the question is if you’ve maxed all that out yet or not. If the place is wonderful enjoy it for as long as it makes you better. Then leave - knowing it likely won’t be as great wherever you go - but it’ll make you find a new level.
I would reach out to someone at the new company and ask them about the things that matter to you in your current company.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but if you truly love your job, then stay.
That is worth a LOT.
If you're struggling, living paycheck to paycheck, then sure, focus on the money.
If you're fairly comfortable financially, don't leave for a quick payday. Be where you're happy.
I never understand these questions. Yes, of course money is great but will you be happy there? Will the work be fulfilling? these are the questions to ask not fixate on a $$$
Scary realization you need to consider: the current agency you love so much may only love you back because of how little they are paying you. A 40% increase only happens in three scenarios: a) person is wildly underpaid by current agency (most common) b) person is moving from small market to major market ( not really an increase when you factor in COL) c) person just swept the seasons awards shows for the past year and are about to get paid by large agency wanting to increase talent pool ( talking Cannes, Andy’s , One show not local award shows). Know your value. If the other agency is in the same city, let this agency you love so much reciprocate this love by offering at least a 20% bump on pay. You will find out real quick how much they value you or not.
