Hey Everyone,
I am doing a part time MBA program and for one of the coursework I am trying to understand the challenges people faced while transitioning from WFH to Back to office model.
I've created a small questionnaire and will really appreciate if you can spare 10 minutes of your time for the same.

Is there a specific industry you want to join/stay in? How many YOE do you have? Any specific title you're looking into?
There are plenty remote roles out there. I've applied to several places that were fully remote and had interviews with them in my recent job search (last month) before accepting an offer:
Alfred
HappyCo
Walmart
ADP
User Interviews
Zola
Ontra
InVision
HubSpot
Maven Clinic
Meet Elise
Northern Trust
Shapeways
I also have direct contacts with a couple headhunters that are still trying to fill tons of positions. If you're interested in an intro, lmk!
Are any of these remote roles open to those living anywhere in the world?
I'm in this same boat after a few years being remote. Never missing a deadline and being hyper responsive and engaged. I've been described as "highly productive"
My commute will be 3+ hours per day. Driving, taking a long train and walking. My walks to office occasionally included seeing vomit or human feces and / or experiencing harassment on the street.
To a grey, windowless cubicle with lights that gave me migraines.
I'm legit sad.
DPD1 I am actively looking now. Very scary as the breadwinner of my household. If they said it would be on an as needed basis or 1 day a week I would feel better about it. They say it's for culture and collaboration, but I have several departments asking for my time on projects in different parts of the US and Canada, and all that collaboration is via teams and zoom... so how is it possible online collaboration is ineffective like they suggest?

There are sooooooo many opportunities that are remote with such a demand for UX. Start applying and you’ll be scooped up immediately as there’s not enough talent to meet demand. Shame on any companies that are pulling stunts like this. They deserve to lose their top employees on account of it.
There are many remote ux design opportunities. Designlab made an awesome list of job boards for remote roles here https://designlab.com/blog/remote-ux-design-job-boards/

Almost every job listing I've seen lately offers Remote, and that is for companies of every size, startup to FAANG. You shouldn't have a problem finding something.
I was in a similar situation not too long ago. I was hesitant at first but then I started looking at other remote only opportunities.
I interviewed multiple companies and got multiple offers to choose. I even boosted my salary by 60%. There are lots of jobs out there and I highly recommend you to look for other opportunities.
In my case, Indeed jobs and Linkedin jobs helped me get lots of interviews.
