OP, just because you happen to work for an accounting firm doesn't mean most consulting firms have core businesses outside of the consulting services they provide

Literally not comparable. MBB is also called Big 3, as in the top/big traditional management consulting firms. The Big 4 is for the top/big accounting firms.
Therefore, MBB’s non consulting practices can not be compared to Big 4’s non consulting practices - the former can’t matchup up to the latter’s accounting or risk business, just like how the latter can’t match the former’s in management consulting
Non consulting as in—? Human Resources, corporate support, etc?
