Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express
Hi everyone! I have a few questions on submitting the visa appointment fee expense for reimbursement in DTE: Can we submit an expense for our spouse’s visa appointment (they’re on H4)? I am from India and in order to pay the visa fee I used the NEFT option to pay but the Indian bank account my brother’s. What receipt will be accepted in DTE? 1) Try calling the hotel and asking them to shift the charge. Explain that you company won’t reimburse you for the personal card (95% they will help)
2) if that fails try billing the expense anyway and being apologetic.
3) If that fails, keep the receipt and take the tax deduction.
The hotel will change the card. It won’t be a biggie

Why didn’t you just call them in the first place? They have the ability to do stuff, not us.
The hotel will fix. But if they don’t, just say that you accidentally used the wrong card. If there isn’t a pattern of “mistakes”, it will be fine

Yes. Hotel will change credit card No problem. You can also call Visa and explain to deny charges

For incidentals. I didn't think to bring my Corp amex so I put down my visa. The entire trip ended up being charged to my visa... How to explain that I thought my amex would be charged when I booked the hotel? Am I gonna get in trouble? First time travelling to a non DU location for work.

Not trying to be a dick, but that’s how you figure stuff out - you talk to the people that have the power and see what the options are.
@manager 1 just looking to see if anyone else had been in the situation for my own comfort. Certainly hompew you deal with your subordinates the same way, so they too may see your wisdom
