My company cut staff to 4 days/wk to save funds. I was getting requests from coworkers for docs needed urgently on our day off (fridays). I would oblige them. But then, I learned that those same coworkers had been put back to 5 days because they were deemed “essential“. I felt foolish and decided to stop working on fridays. One EVP (not the GC) in particular has been aggressively texting/calling me on fridays. How Do I tactfully respond? My out-of-office email is not enough of a hint...

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Looking to get into SaaS sales but my experience is in construction and fine furniture (I was a sales manager and was able to lead my team of 4 people to consistently hit 450k monthly targets). I did that for almost 2 years before making the switch. I miss sales, though. Does anyone have any connections to companies looking? I applied to B schools and while I got into a school I'm very happy with, another school that was my #1 rejected me outright when I felt I had a great shot. Furthermore, that school was close to both my and my wife's families. So despite the school im attending being better for my career, I can't help but feel that I've let my wife and both of our families down.

I feel like I’m either getting burnt out by work or trying to heal myself from it. There’s never much time for real life and I don’t want to be on my death bed reminiscing like, “Wow, I made some cool ads.” Nothing scares me more.
