I need some fishbowl love. Tomorrow will be one year since I’ve been laid off. I’ve been ghosted, scammed, and a bridesmaid more times than I can count. And for the last month, there’s barely been any jobs for a traditional creative to even apply to. Strategy gigs? Yep! Content gigs? Sure! Account gigs? Yeppers!

Where are the gigs for the folks that brainstorm, develop, and produce quality expressions and experiences? My career has spanned three recessions and I’ve never seen it this bad.

Just became an ACD. Im in a limbo. Half of the time im being treated as a Super Senior AD and the other half im being treated as a Almost CD. Then when im scoped over work that my CD and I oversee, some people are asking me how does my role differ from the CD’s, as they tend to look at me as an unnecessary layer for approvals.
