Hi Sharks, I am asked to sign the offer letter. It's kind of an agreement between me and the company for accepting the offer and compensation numbers. Of course It doesn't have statments like I have to join the company on signing this. My question is that 1. If I get a better offer can I go and ask them to revise the offer? 2. Can I decide not to join the company? Will there be any legal consequences? Have you ever been asked to sign the offer? Boeing Tata Consultancy Wipro Capgemini Cognizant

Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

Is the bar/nature of responsibilities actually higher than you thought or do they just not want those, or part of those, responsibilities done by someone that senior anymore? Does the JD and title otherwise align with that of comparable roles at other companies?
The title and JD did align with comparable roles at other companies. Thank you for these questions super helpful!
I would focus on if job responsibilities match title and expectations. It’s irrelevant who did them before. Maybe the more senior person had to do them because someone at the level your being hired quit? There could be valid reasons and it’s not uncommon for people to do work below them if they are short staffed.
Thank you! That is super helpful. Will keep an open mind
You can always try to negotiate something, but if it's late in the process you could be taking a risk. Companies will rescind offers if they feel like someone isn't operating in good faith or if they're being unserious. So depending on how late in the process it is, you may be better off going along with what's been agreed upon.
Very fair. It is late in the process so that’s definitely a consideration

Oh man.. I’m kinda in the same position! There’s someone that retired early last year and they’re thinking of supposedly changing her title and I bet making the salary range much lower. She was there for over 20 years. So I sorta get it.
I feel for you…similar situation here. Wishing you good luck in navigating!
