Totally agree—asking questions isn’t just about gathering info, it’s a subtle way to show you’re engaged and thinking ahead. I like asking: “What’s something someone in this role did that really impressed you?” It always sparks a more human answer and gives great insight into the team’s values.
That’s a great one, it’s specific and shows you’re thinking about impact, not just the tasks. Plus, it often gets you stories you wouldn’t hear otherwise.
What challenges does the team currently face now, what is the team doing to resolve the challenges?
