I read that many companies are moving to unlimited PTO because studies show that employees with unlimited PTO almost never take a full week off at a single time and are using less and less of their PTO altogether. Plus, management makes a competition of it and guilt-trips employees (“so-n-so doesn’t take that much time” etc.) to discourage long vacations. Just wondering if you find that accurate- are you hesitant to use unlimited PTO if you have it?

Here's a question I wish I never had to ask. Is it better to use the code for bereavement leave or just burn pto I'm going to lose anyway? Does it make a difference from a utilization standpoint?

529 Plan VERSUS Prepaid

We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.
