I have an interview for a LTC/Rehab Nurse Manager, Infection Preventionist position next week. My base salary is $40/hour as a charge nurse. With overtime I’ll be finishing the year about $15000 above my base pay. I have questions: first, I know I’ll be putting in at least the same number of hours I’m current working (50+/wk). How do I leverage that to avoid a pay cut. Also, any tips from people in this position?

Hi!! I’m an HR Coordinator currently (about two years of experience) but my job has so many responsibilities and tasks I’m beyond burnt out. It’s truly impossible to focus on one task because things are constantly being thrown my way. I’ve heard whisperings of a promotion or raise, but my workload is already too much, I don’t know if I’d want to accept more responsibility. Is it normal to feel like you have just as many responsibilities as your superiors who make 30k+ more than you?

I am a Reliability Maintenance 3P contractor for Amazon. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering on June 2022. I’ve been working with Amazon for a year, but there’s a lack of prospective EE positions within the company. The job postings I see are either less or barely above my current salary. Why do people who left consulting never come back?

MBB AP about to exit to non-FAANG tech. Would you expect a signing bonus and/or pre-determined severance pay if things don't work out with the new company? Anything else that people have negotiated during their exit? I'd be leaving a large amount of bonus on the table to leave before the end of the year.

Leaving soon for brand management role in CPG which I’m really excited about but curious if this will close the door to opportunities (product marketing, non technical product manager) in tech in the future. Really interested in the brand management role but if I end up not liking it the comp trajectory is not nearly as good as tech and wanted to know if that door will still be open. 2YOE, if I make a switch would likely be at 4-5YOE assuming I don’t go MBA route

Trying to buy a house and the home inspection identified termites - seller said it was taken care of during gut renovation prior to them moving in? They’ve done inspection every year and no active termites. Is this house still worth it? Aside from this, it’s a dream home 😥

Why do Big 4 firms interview you for a specific position level and then try to make you come in below that level...

That would be a lateral move for me in terms of level which be okay if at least it was a good pay increase but Their quoted pay range for the lower level would make it almost a lateral move financially too..

Have been approached for a "Transformation Officer" role at a PE held port co with high probability of getting it. Torn staying in consulting ( 1.5 year post MBA till now) or new role? Suggestions?

Do titles in industry matter when exploring an exit? Which title seems better - Principal - Strategy or Senior Director - Strategy if everything else is equal.
