Hi, did anybody ever experience wrong tax calculations by JPMC Payroll/tax team ? Or is there any specific month where they deduct more tax. Huge amount of tax deduction is done for Oct payout. From my CA’s calculation the amount deducted by JPMC team looks wrong. Anybody experienced this?

If you don’t want to get married, do not start holding yourself out as common law married. In states that recognize common law marriage, saying you are common law married means you are full-on married. She would be entitled to all of the benefits of a marriage including your assets should she file for divorce. Texas (the only state I am intimately familiar with since my wife and I went the common law route) recognizes common law marriage and will issue a certificate that the federal government, including DOD, will accept as proof of marriage. But, again, at that point there is no legal difference between your marriage and a marriage with a ceremony for all legal purposes. Beware of lying about being married if you care about your assets.
You'd need documentation of it. At that point, you might as well just get married.
right, thats what i figured, just thought i'd ask and see if someone had a different experience
