I received a job offer that is a total lateral move. They’ve offered the same in terms of salary but have indicated I have the ability to earn a lot more in bonuses. I’m nervous to make the jump basically earning the same salary with no guarantee on bonuses. They did indicate a sign on bonus and it seems like bonuses are not unheard of. It still makes me uncomfortable knowing my biweekly pay would not change. Any thoughts?

Can someone tell me if this is legal? The organization I work for pulled some of us aside today and said they are going to pull back on our salaries to cut costs. Can they do this? Do I have any options here? Can I simply refuse to go along with this?

My client wants both parties to list assets & liabilities as an exhibit to their prenup without values, but waive the right to know the actual valuation of those in the prenup itself. My initial thought is this is a terrible idea & would probably make the prenup easily voidable since a main requirement for a prenup is for both to understand the nature and value of the other’s assets. I will research in my jurisdiction to confirm, but has anyone ever heard of/done this? Thoughts?

A relative is raising a teenage son with her ex-husband. They have joint physical custody. The ex-husband has re-married. When the son is in his care, he often leaves the son at home in California with his (new) wife when he travels for work (which is often). The relative wants her ex-husband to leave their son in her care when he travels out of town but the ex-husband disagrees.
