My interview with Microsoft for SE2 was scheduled and cancelled a day before. Neither I received any email regarding cancellation nor the recruiter informed me. Two days later I got an email saying Microsoft is freezing hiring for certain departments and the recruiter is ghosting me. Will I even get a chance to interview atleast?

I am currently in Wipro having CTC as 7.8 LPA.. I have got an offer from TCS which is 11LPA.However, my Basic Pay/Fixed compensation is getting reduced from my current base pay in the new offer and also the HRA is getting reduced. The HR is telling that the basic is fixed as per policy and they cannot change it. The base pay is less but there are several other components which are higher. Should I take up the new offer? Please help. Will the reduction in base pay impact my career?

Do I explore exits in a recessionary economy? Or praise Christ, go to church more, and suck up my ego because I still have a shot and haven’t been CTLd? How much worse are my exit ops as an AP and how would that look with 2 years later?
