This is real weird. What type of company are you interviewing at?
Honestly just be yourself?
Agree. What’s a values interview?
🚩Forced socializing as part of the interview process. Yikes
What if you don’t drink? What if you’re an introvert? What if you don’t feel like making small talk with a bunch of people in a manufactured situation?
OP this may set off red flags in my head, but how do you feel about it? Does it feel normal and ok to you?

That’s… weird. Sounds less like an agency and more like a cult. Or couples therapy. How bad do you want this job?

Did you apply to this job through Craigslist? I want to believe this isn't as strange as it seems, but I'm kinda with everyone else here. I'm getting weirdo vibes. And not the "quirky" kind of weird. More of a "I like your face so now I'm going to wear it" kind of way.

I wouldn’t drink that beer unless you see them open it and pour.
Odd, I find their use of the word “vulnerable” to be very bizarre in this context. My guess is that they probably meant that you were maybe being overly formal and they are curious to see your personality in a more “casual hangout and chill” kind of environment, which actually has a lot of important value in this industry and your role, for better or for worse.
Pro
Respond by telling them you’re hurt by their questioning your vulnerability. You’ve given it time to settle, and while you’re resilient this is a trigger for you based on previous traumas you’ve had. As a result, you don’t feel comfortable consuming alcohol in a group setting and would prefer to keep things professional while you continue to evaluate the feelings they’ve brought up.
Or just say this is too weird and move on.

Vayner’s interview process is really getting out of hand
What weirdo agency is this?
First, what’s a values interview? Second, a job wants you to be more vulnerable and the answer to that is to come hang out? Sounds very weird to me.
Red flag for sure. What does vulnerability have to do with a work role?
In fairness, if it’s a role with direct reports, vulnerability may be another way of saying empathy. I’ve had two non—agency interviews in the past month and the recruiter told me that aside from portfolios, the #1 filter was whether candidates exhibited empathy. Any sign of ego or toxic personality traits and you’re immediately disqualified, no matter how great your book is.
Is this for Airbnb?
Red flag that they want to be all up in your shit.
Values interview?? Vulnerable enough? This is like that episode from veep when they go to Silicon Valley.
Run.
Run away from this job or in two years you’ll be telling a candidate that they’re not vulnerable enough as you too will be brainwashed.
I wonder if they just mean “less formal” and want to get more of a sense of your personality?
Lol. You’re not vulnerable enough. What a nerd.
Short answer. Nope.
I’ve heard of people doing fake interviews as part of human trafficking, be safe OP!
