I recently followed up with a recruiter only to be told they "already left a voicemail" regarding a rejection. lI have zero record of that call. This is the second time this agency has used this "ghost call" excuse. What is the point of lying? If the client passed, just say so. Resorting to fake follow-ups is incredibly unprofessional. As a candidate and potential future client your reputation is now in the toilet.

I’ve only slept with one person, my wife. I have not openly shared this with anyone because there’s a stigma that I “settled” or I don’t have numbers on the board like a man should. When you recruiters say at the end of a 15 min call.
“I will get back to you by the end of this week” does that really mean “your not right for this position”? Because this whole thing is a waste of time. I’ve did these calls with 3 recruiters and is yet to hear back from someone. Today would be the 4th recruiter that I’ve spoken to. Does this practice annoy you guys just as much as it does us?
