I recently had a screening interview at an insurance carrier for a manager role. I'm worried I priced myself out of the role. The role had a posted salary range but it was about a 100k wide. I was asked what my salary expectations were, and I asked about the range. The interviewer gave me this long, convoluted explanation that the range was for the life of the role. I'm in a HCOL area. I gave my range which was well above their floor but well below their ceiling. Thoughts?

Anyone able to offer insights on Talent Management salary range these days? Entertainment roles have traditionally paid much less than other industries but wondering if post-covid world has changed this.
