I recently interviewed with a large bank and the recruiter gave me a call 2 days ago to confirm my salary to put into the offer and asked who I will be bringing with me to relocate (so they can estimate my relocation expense I think). It sounded like an offer, but I don't trust anything unless it's in writing via email/mail. How long should I wait to ask for an update on the job? This is making me super anxious. I’m reviewing my resume getting ready to start my job search and have a question for recruiters, hiring managers. I’m looking for a role brand-side not agency side. Specialist roles aside, such as digital, when you see someone describing themselves as a “generalist marketer” is this a resume you’d pass on? My past roles have been such that I do a lot of marketing projects, tasks etc. but I’m not a specialist. I’m worried if I use this terminology I won’t even be considered for a role. Thank you

I have 13YOE managing cross-departmental projects and people, and I’d like to shed the general EA work of calendars/travel/expenses. But recruiters just see my most recent role is EA and that’s all they want to talk to me about. Can someone please for the love of god help me figure out how I can pay less income taxes? I only make 88k and I put the 12k standard deduction but I’m still getting taxed 27% of my paychecks! My sign on bonus (20 even) a few months ago was taxed nearly 45%! Excuse my ignorance, but am I doing something wrong? Will increasing deductions help or should I increase the withholdings?
